Cinema Politica Åland, med hemort Mariehamn, Åland, är den första finländska filialen av det internationella Cinema Politica-nätverket. Filialen är en del av den ideella föreningen Islands of Peace. Föreningen anordnar festivalen Islands of Peace, som syftar till att lyfta fram och diskutera fredsfrågor ur ett helhetsperspektiv och uppmärksamma fred på olika sätt.
Vår ambition är att våra filmvisningar ska upplysa publiken om globala frågor och väcka diskussion om olika aspekter av fred, och vara en demokratisk plattform för diskussion kring aktuella globala och lokala fredsfrågor. Filmvisningarna är gratis och öppna för alla.
Cinema Politica Islands of Peace
Cinema Politica Åland, located on the Åland Islands, is the first Finnish local within the Cinema Politica Network. Cinema Politica Åland is connected to the non-profit association Islands of Peace. The association organizes the Islands of Peace Festival, a forum for multifaceted discussion of international and local peace issues, a venue for activists, and a yearly celebration of peace.
Our ambition is to screen films that will contribute to the audience’s knowledge of different aspects of peace and security, and encourage discussion of important global issues. The screenings are free and open for everyone.
