CP London Community Partnership Screening: "United in Anger" (SPECIAL TIME AND VENUE!)

A CINEMA POLITICA LONDON community screening:
"United in Anger"
Thurs. Dec. 3, 2015, 5:30 pm
Room 384, Medical Sciences Bldg. (SEE FACEBOOK PAGE FOR MAP)
Western University

**** NOTE SPECIAL VENUE! ****

In commemoration of World AIDS Day, join us in a screening of United in Anger. Let's think about the way that social organizing and civil disobedience influence science and medicine.

United in Anger: A History of ACT UP is an inspiring documentary about the birth and life of the AIDS activist movement from the perspective of the people in the trenches fighting the epidemic. Utilizing oral histories of members of ACT UP, as well as rare archival footage, the film depicts the efforts of ACT UP as it battles corporate greed, social indifference, and government neglect. (93 min)

There is no cost of admission. The film will be screened in a classroom on the third floor of the Medical Sciences Building. An elevator and gender neutral, accessible washrooms are available in the building. The film will start promptly at 5:45 pm. Please direct any questions about accessibility, or about the film in general to hmilley2019 [at] meds [dot] uwo [dot] ca .

This screening is hosted by the Local Officers for Reproductive and Sexual Health for Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry and made possible by the collaboration of Cinema Politica (www.cinemapolitica.org/london).
