Eco-World Documentary Series
Hello everyone!
The MIE is a Montreal-based organization that supports home-grown environmental actions inside cultural communities and brings forward perspectives that stand out from the dominant environmental discourse. Its objective is to encourage a plurality of approaches towards environmental issues. With its partners Cinema Politica and the SOCENV (Société environnementale de Côte-des-Neiges) MIE will present the Eco-World Documentary Series every first Wednesday of the month during this Fall.
The films will look at environmental problems in diverse regions of the world. They will be followed by thought-provoking discussions concerning the different interpretations of these realities, according to the spectator’s cultural background. Following our participants requests, after the screenings the discussions will continue on our Facebook page. Some of the comments will also be posted on our blog. Note that our screenings and discussions are bilingual.
The screenings will be held at the heart of the multicultural neighboorhood of Côte-des-Neiges, in its community centre at 6767, Côte-des-Neiges street. It is located right in front of the Plaza Côte-des-Neiges shopping mall.
