Our Land Our Life

Frauen_k.jpg1988 / 26 Minutes / English

The first film documenting the story of the Lubicon Nation (aboriginal people of North-Central Alberta) and its battle with a criminal Canadian Government condemned by the United Nations for its continued disrespect for human rights in this dossier. A remarkable documentary testament of how the Canadian Government treats aboriginal people in representing multinational corporations. Film maker and aboriginal rights expert Ed Bianchi will be present at the screening to give background and answer questions.

This film event is to prepare the talk by aboriginal rights activist Ellen Gabriel entitled “Mohawk issues, what happened in Kanehsatake, and Quebec Native Women” to take place on November 15, 2006 in Activism Course (Marion Hall auditorium, 7pm).
