It's September 9, 2002, and the fall semester has just begun at Montreal's Concordia University. An announcement that Benjamin Netanyahu, the former prime minister of Israel, will speak at the main downtown campus has sparked heated debate.
By the end the day, the debate has exploded into violent confrontation - and the so-called "Concordia riot" has made international news, from CNN to Al-Jazeera.
