about cinema politica L'Arche Cape Breton

L’Arche Cape Breton is a small community, located just off exit 4 on the TransCanada Highway. At the heart of our community are people with developmental disabilities and those who choose to share life with them. We are partnered in solidarity with the L’Arche communities of Santo Domingo, in the Dominican Republic, and Asha Niketan in India. We also seek to strengthen ties between our community and our neighbours on the Mi’kmaq reserve. Our films will offer access to recent world events and information that is difficult to receive in a rural community. The films we screen will often have links to the demographics and cultures mentioned above, and touch on the varying ideas of community. Donations will be gladly accepted by the L’Arche Cape Breton Solidarity Committee, and snacks will usually be offered. Screenings will take place on Wednesday nights at 7pm, following our listed schedule. Venue will be finalized shortly.
