about cinema politica OPIRG Windsor

The Ontario Public Interest Research Group (OPIRG) –Windsor is a student funded non-profit corporation at the University of Windsor. Our mandate is to promote education, research and action on environmental and social justice issues as directed by our volunteers. This is done through conducting public interest research, educating and raising awareness and taking action by developing and implementing strategies to reach our goals.

In the summer of 2011 OPIRG Windsor Cinema Politica will be holding weekly screenings at the OPIRG-Exchange, Coffee House and Reading Room at 372 California

Our goal is to foster discussion on a broad range of environmental and social justice issues challenging the existing social, political and economic order and offering alternatives. We also work on making connections with other social movements and groups and linking the efforts of those groups with others pursuing similar goals on campus and in the community
