Mongrel Media (and Métropole in Montreal):

Mongrel Media aims to bring the best of World Cinema to Canadian audiences.Established in 1994, we now distribute over 250 films from around the world. We are proud to be associated with some of the most critically celebrated films of our time including Palme d'Or Winners Taste of Cherry by Abbas Kiarostami and L’Enfant by the Dardenne brothers, The Eel by Shohei Imamura, and Camera d'Or winner A Time For Drunken Horses . Mongrel Media is the exclusive Canadian theatrical distributor for Sony Pictures Classics, whose films are at the cutting edge of Independent Cinema from America and around the world.

We are a boutique operation - independent, selective and reliable. We select our films with the Canadian audience in mind. We play our films across Canada at festivals and selected commercial and art-house cinemas; sell videos to art-house and commercial video stores as well as directly to the public; and we make our titles available for broadcast on television.

LOOKING FOR FRIENDS...

We are currently looking for more national partners and sponsors, if you know of an organization that would like to collaborate with us, please contact us.

As well, each local may list their own accomplices on corresponding local pages.
