about cinema politica Ryerson

The Ryerson Cinema Politica local hosts and disseminates political screenings as a platform for critical community and student engagement to provoke and advance Ryerson's social justice culture. We have an open, inclusive, accessible membership base hosting monthly documentary screenings throughout the academic year that address a vast range of topical, contemporary social issues. Showcasing local, national, and international perspectives on sexuality, race, environment, gender, capitalism, nationhood, and the diverse intersections of oppression and politics in our globalizing world, our local ultimately attempts to program with an empowered student voice in mind. Come out and see what we're all about!
