WoodsHole Cinema Politica

Cinema Politica Woods Hole (Massachusetts)

Woods Hole, on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, proudly joined the Cinema Politica family in November 2008. In a small town reknowned for its oceanographic and marine biological institutions and progressive community spirit, Woods Hole CP's objective is to bring scientists and skeptics together for debate and hands-on political engagement.

Film topics range from politics in the Middle East, environmental and energy issues, indigenous rights, and the dilemmas inherent in corporate-driven globalization. With the underlying belief that documentaries have the power to not just inform, but transform society, local guest speakers will help generate discussion after the screenings, fueled by fair trade, organic coffee from local favourite Coffee Obsession.

Screenings will be held every Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Woods Hole Firehouse (next to Community Hall). Donations are gratefully accepted to help cover the cost of the room, printing and postage. Contact Elise at woodshole(at)cinemapolitica.org for more information.
