Join us for a screening of LAST CHANCE on Wed Feb. 10th at 7PM

Carleton Cinema Politica is proud to present Last Chance, a documentary about the turbulent journeys of five LGBTQ people who flee their native countries to escape homophobic violence. They face hurdles integrating into Canada, fear deportation and nervously await a decision that will change their lives forever. All five remain hopeful their adopted country will show them the compassion they deserve.

The film will be followed by a discussion panel on the content of the film and challenges queer refugees face in Canada's system, featuring several members of Capital Rainbow Refuge, including:

- Peter Showler - Law Professor at the University of Ottawa and former Chair of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada
- Nicholas Hersh - Immigration and Refugee Lawyer and Founding Member of Capital Rainbow Rescue
- David Pepper - Community Activist and Lead Organizer with the North Star Triangle Project.

The screening begins on Wednesday, Feb 10th at 7 PM at MacOdrum Library 252. Please find the Facebook event to RSVP here:

This event is open to the public and is FREE, with pay-what-you-can donations accepted.

We hope to see you there for this compelling documentary, co-presented by Capital Rainbow Refuge and the Carleton University Human Rights Society.
