MONTREAL OUTDOOR SUMMER SCREENINGS

Bring out your picnic baskets, blankets and your appetite for engaging political docs, because Cinema Politica is renewing our annual Montreal outdoor summer screening series!!

This August and September, we partner up with Cinéma sous les étoiles de Funambles Medias and Cinéma urbain à la belle étoile de la Societé des Arts Technologiques (SAT) to transform Montreal’s parks and public spaces into radical CP screening sites under the stars.

This August, we partner up with Cinéma sous les étoiles de Funambules Média to screen CP films at Cabot Square and Parc de Turin. On Monday August 3rd, we take on food issues around health and the environment with THE FAMILY FARM. Two weeks later, on August 17th, we return with VESSEL, a doc spotlighting brave activists who take to the high seas to fight for reproductive rights, and the following Monday, August 24, the women of HANDS ON: WOMEN, CLIMATE, CHANGE tackle climate justice issues – from protecting India’s fisherman to combating the Canadian Tar Sands.

In September, we top off our summer activities with a special Place de La Paix screening of EVERYDAY REBELLION, the inspiring film that travels the globe to highlight feats of nonviolent resistance and civil disobedience, organized in collaboration with the SAT.
