about cinema politica Durham Lumières

Bringing global themes that are often out of sight, into mind, Durham Lumières exists as an opportunity for information, discussion and reflection on issues affecting us and future generations. Mainly through the screening every two weeks of thought-provoking independent films, we welcome you to come and share ideas and knowledge with a diverse range of students, teaching staff and the general public.
We are excited about promoting links between Durham’s academic and social worlds to create a stimulating, enriching and constructive dialogue between members, which makes the most of the university environment by enjoying sharing knowledge outside timetabled study.

Come along to our film screenings in Durham Castle's magnificent Senate Room to meet, watch and be merry.
