Between Friday, Oct. 16 and Monday, Oct.19, 2010, Cinema Politica hosted a film and video festival dedicated to the topic of sex, sexuality and sexwork. Nine programs of experimental/non-fiction works were selected and screened, along with post-projection discussions with artists, activists and sexworkers, at the J.A. de Sève Cinema, at Concordia University. The focus was on "two of today's most politicized, yet under-screened topics: sexwork and pornography. Connecting and contextualizing bodies, genders, identities, desires and difference, this anti-sexist, anti-phobic festival confronts morality and obscenity with performance, pleasure, and politics."
