C&rsquo;est le d\u00e9but de leur longue, absurde et craintive attente, pendant laquelle la communication entre les soldats est r\u00e9duite \u00e0 des gestes silencieux, des blagues enfantines, des jeux avec des figurines, et des d\u00e9fis de haka muets. Dans ce court du d\u00e9but de sa carri\u00e8re, le r\u00e9alisateur internationalement reconnu Taika Waititi utilise la reconstruction historique pour rendre son humanit\u00e9 aux M\u0101ori forc\u00e9es de rejoindre les forces Alli\u00e9es pendant la Seconde Guerre Mondiale. Doublement contraints par le syst\u00e8me colonial, les soldats M\u0101ori se battent dans des guerres qui ne sont pas les leurs.
