Structured around the violent destruction of each one of Burnat\u2019s cameras, the filmmakers\u2019 collaboration follows one family\u2019s evolution over five years of village turmoil.<\/p>\n<p>Burnat watches from behind the lens as olive trees are bulldozed, protests intensify, and lives are lost. \u201cI feel like the camera protects me,\u201d he says, \u201cbut it\u2019s an illusion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lifelong inhabitant of the central West Bank village of Bil\u2019in, Emad Burnat is a freelance cameraman and photographer with experience filming for Al-Jazeera and Palestinian television. He has contributed to several documentaries, including <em>Bil\u2019in My Love<\/em>, <em>Palestine Kids<\/em>, <em>Open Close<\/em>, and <em>Interrupted Streams<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Jaffa, Guy Davidi is a documentary filmmaker and teacher who has been directing, editing, and shooting films since the age of 16.
