Les coupes budg\u00e9taires, le racisme et les changements technologiques ont d\u00e9cim\u00e9 un mouvement m\u00e9diatique f\u00e9ministe sophistiqu\u00e9 qui a chang\u00e9 le monde.<\/p>\n\n<p>Ce long m\u00e9trage documentaire retrace l&rsquo;essor et le d\u00e9clin des communications f\u00e9ministes analogiques qui ont pr\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9 l&rsquo;\u00e8re MeToo. De Halifax \u00e0 Vancouver, les narrateurs f\u00e9ministes des ann\u00e9es 1970 \u00e0 1990 se sont empar\u00e9s des technologies m\u00e9diatiques de pointe pour documenter tous les sujets, de la violence \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9gard des femmes \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re d&rsquo;ins\u00e9rer un diaphragme. Hamilton (Halifax) de Studio D, des collectifs de presse comme Press Gang (Vancouver) et Our Lives : Black Women&rsquo;s Newspaper (Toronto). Verjee raconte l&rsquo;histoire du premier festival canadien du film sur les femmes de couleur ; Nora Randall d\u00e9crit ce qu&rsquo;a signifi\u00e9 la cr\u00e9ation de Pedestal, le premier journal f\u00e9ministe au Canada. Des images d&rsquo;archives rares, comme les rassemblements f\u00e9ministes des ann\u00e9es 70 \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al, m\u00e8nent au point culminant du film : les coupes draconiennes dans les organisations de femmes et de lesbiennes \u00e0 travers le Canada, suite au massacre de f\u00e9ministes \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00c9cole Polytechnique de Montr\u00e9al, (6 d\u00e9cembre 1989).
