Chez les Secw\u00e9pemc, en Colombie-Britannique, l&rsquo;une de ces histoires est celle de Phyllis Jack-Webstad, une survivante des pensionnats indiens dont les exp\u00e9riences ont inspir\u00e9 le mouvement de la Journ\u00e9e des chemises orange.<\/p>\n\n<p>RETURNING HOME suit Phyllis lors d&rsquo;une tourn\u00e9e \u00e9ducative nationale, tandis que sa famille s&rsquo;efforce de gu\u00e9rir les blessures multig\u00e9n\u00e9rationnelles chez elle, sur le territoire Secw\u00e9pemc. Dans le contexte d&rsquo;une pand\u00e9mie mondiale et de la plus faible remont\u00e9e de saumons de l&rsquo;histoire du Canada, le film explore \u00e9galement l&rsquo;absence de saumon dans la partie sup\u00e9rieure du fleuve Fraser et la fa\u00e7on dont un moratoire de plusieurs ann\u00e9es sur la p\u00eache d\u00e9chire le tissu des communaut\u00e9s Secw\u00e9pemc. En t\u00e9moignant du traumatisme v\u00e9cu par Phyllis et sa famille, RETURNING HOME tend un miroir au traumatisme v\u00e9cu par le monde naturel.
