En octobre 2023, il est entr\u00e9 \u00e0 Gaza pour travailler dans les h\u00f4pitaux Al-Shifa et Al-Ahli pendant la campagne de bombardements isra\u00e9liens. Pendant 43 jours \u00e9prouvants, il a pratiqu\u00e9 des dizaines d&rsquo;amputations, dont beaucoup sur des enfants, tandis que les h\u00f4pitaux \u00e9taient syst\u00e9matiquement d\u00e9truits et le personnel m\u00e9dical pris pour cible. Alors que les vivres et les fournitures s&rsquo;\u00e9puisaient et que sa propre sant\u00e9 se d\u00e9t\u00e9riorait, le Dr Abu Sittah a \u00e9t\u00e9 contraint de retourner au Royaume-Uni. De retour chez lui, il est devenu un t\u00e9moin puissant des atrocit\u00e9s commises, partageant son exp\u00e9rience personnelle sur la sc\u00e8ne internationale, notamment devant la Cour internationale de justice.
