about cinema politica Medicine Hat

Cinema Politica Medicine Hat was established in November 2010. We are affiliated with the Friends of Medicine Hat Public Library. After each film there is a presentation and discussion in one of the library’s meeting rooms.  Admission is free but donations kindly accepted. Donations enable us to support the national Cinema Politica organization and to add to the library's collection of films and other resources relating to important and controversial issues.

In our media-saturated world, we all need to constantly improve our ability to assess the accuracy and validity of information.  The films, complemented by the discussions and the library’s resources and online sources, will help us to hone our skills.  Issues relating to health, science and the environment will be a particular focus of our Cinema Politica local.
