CP Book Launch and John Greyson Talk

concordia on Wednesday, April 02, 2014

We're launching our first ever book called "Screening Truth to Power: A Reader on Documentary Activism," and to mark the occasion we're honoured to have John Greyson give a presentation at the event.
Cinema Politica filmmaker and award-winner John Greyson (pictured with Alanis Obomsawin), along with physician Tarek Loubani, have been held in a Cairo prison since August 16th, in appalling conditions and without charges. Please join us in taking action for their immediate release.
Last Monday, following a Concordia screening of a selection of Greyson's work called "Sex, Song and Segregation" Cinema Politica awarded the Toronto-based filmmaker a new award, named after one of Canada's most committed documentarians.
