Douglas College joined the Cinema Political Network in the Fall of 2006. At Douglas College, we share in the belief that the medium of film can have a considerable impact on its viewers. Cinema Politica screenings will present an accessible forum to bring our students, faculty and other Douglas College community members together to discuss a variety of issues in a safe and thought provoking environment.
Douglas College instructs upwards of 20,000 students annually. Cinema Politica screenings will endeavour to promote a stimulating campus environment through important films and documentaries that present varying perspectives on issues such as human rights, labour, politics and culture. Our large student body will have yet another outlet to learn, question, and share their opinions with peers, instructors, the community, and key note speakers who can bring further insight to the issues and topics highlighted in these bi-monthly screenings.
Films in the Cinema Politica series are free of charge, and open to everyone. Be sure to look for our posters, announcements and the schedule of upcoming screenings. We'd like to see you there!
