Free Political Film Screenings Cinema Politica is a project organized by Montréal-based non-profit überculture, and comprises a network of several local film exhibition series across Canada, Europe and the USA.

About Mahone Bay Cinema Politica

The South Shore Council of Canadians is pleased to join with Cinema Politica in bringing documentaries to our audience at Cafe Canada. Café Canada is sponsored by the COC Chapter and is a monthly gathering with a presentation followed by discussion on various topics of concern to the community. Topics include such things as: public health, local food, peak oil, media, poverty, corporate globalization, Canadian sovereignty, water, environment, energy, local transportation, war and The Security and Prosperity Agreement.

In addition to the regular Café Canada meetings we plan a series of film nights – “Movie Night at the Centre”. Cinema Politica will provide us with excellent documentaries related to many of the issues about which this group is concerned. The meetings and film nights are held in The Mahone Bay Centre, School Street, Mahone Bay, and Nova Scotia.
