This film exposes how corporate sponsorship and state interests have stripped LGBTQ pride of its radical roots and reduced it to a depoliticised spectacle. Featuring activists and artists, and academics, the film critiques pinkwashing, state violence, and ongoing queer and trans oppression, calling for a return to grassroots resistance and true liberation.
Part of a student initiative to screen films which expose political ideas that have largely been rejected by mainstream contemporary media.
Co-presenters/collaborators: This screening is presented in collaboration with guest speaker Kenny Christie, trustee of Dundee Pride. We extend our gratitude to Kenny for joining us in this discussion. For more information about the organisation, please visit https://www.dundeepride.com/
