Our first film screening launch will be on
Wednesday, 26 November from 6-9:30, featuring the film
Where the Olive Trees Weep, (2024), directed by
Zaya Benazzo and
Maurizio Benazzo, a powerful documentary providing a searing window into the struggles and resilience of the Palestinian people under Israeli occupation. A moderator will facilitate the discussion, and we will have guest speaker Ms. Israa Aljaish, a PhD student in the department of Social Anthropology at St Andrews, whose talk will focus on resilience from an anthropological perspective.
We believe this event will resonate with anyone on campus that cares about human rights, justice and community dialogue. We hope to see many of you there.
