CP Groningen

Cinema Politica is celebrating the extraordinary commitment of one of our most prolific locals: Cinema Politica Groningen. Based at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands, this local holds a special place in our hearts. It was initiated by Dan Leberg, a former Programming Coordinator at CP , who brought together a fantastic team of co-facilitators dedicated to connecting political documentary with their community.

Program after program, CP Groningen has brought audiences together for successful screenings, welcoming impactful guest speakers and creating space for lively discussions. Their dedication demonstrates the power of local organizing to get vital stories out into the world and spark meaningful exchanges.

Their new semester’s program opened with the crucial campus solidarity documentary THE PALESTINE EXCEPTION, followed by the rabble-rousing URBAN DISOBEDIENCE TOOLKIT. We’re delighted to celebrate the team’s continued work bringing bold, politically engaged cinema to Groningen.
