COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR


This is a part-time Work-Study position at Concordia University.

Cinema Politica Concordia is seeking a creative Communications Coordinator with experience in social marketing and graphic design. The Communications Coordinator plays a key role in creating graphic materials consistent with our visual identity, promoting our screenings, managing online communications, and supporting outreach efforts within the Concordia and Montreal communities

Hours: 15 hours/week
Term: Fall/Winter semesters
Hourly rate: $18 per hour


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop promotional materials across social media and online platforms.
  • Create a weekly newsletter.
  • Manage weekly social media events and content and maintain audience engagement.
  • Update weekly online listings according to evolving event details.
  • Design visual materials and assist with promotional content creation (e.g. slideshows, digital visuals).
  • Manage website updates.
  • Communicate with team members and external partners to ensure smooth coordination.

Qualifications

  • This is an ideal position for a Design or Communications / Media studies student.
  • Previous experience in graphic design, social marketing and online promotion.
  • Excellent  communication skills and ability to engage online audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced graphic design skills (experience with Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.).
  • Familiarity with newsletter services (e.g. Mailchimp) and content management systems.
  • Intermediate level of French is an asset. 
  • Demonstrated interest in social justice, community engagement, and film culture is a plus.
