about cinema politica OPIRG Peterborough

OPIRG Peterborough Cinema Politica offers documentary film screenings to the Peterborough and Trent communities that highlight or raise issues that address the multi-layered systems of oppression evident in our societies. Come out for a great film and free popcorn! OPIRG Peterborough works to provide a space and resources for Peterborough and Trent community members to encourage a critical approach to the institutions and systems students are learning about in classes and to facilitate skill building that will enable community members to use their academic knowledge for social change.

OPIRG Peterborough is a student-funded, non-profit organization dedicated to research, education and action on a variety of issues including environmentalism, human rights, gender rights, peace, sustainability, diversity rights and social equity, among others.
