VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
This is a part-time Work-Study position at Concordia University.
Cinema Politica Concordia is seeking a dynamic and resourceful Volunteer Coordinator with a passion for community engagement. This role involves recruiting and coordinating new and returning volunteers, actively organizing postering and flyering campaigns, managing on-site event logistics, and conducting community outreach within the Concordia and Montreal communities.

Hours: 15 hours/week
Term: Fall/Winter semesters
Hourly rate: $18 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit, schedule, and oversee volunteers for outreach, promotional, and event-specific activities.
- Organize volunteer orientations, training sessions, and appreciation events.
- Track volunteer participation and maintain accurate records.
- Support event setup, operations, and volunteer task coordination.
- Manage the printing and distribution of promotional materials.
- Coordinate and participate in in-person outreach efforts, including postering, flyering, classroom visits, and tabling at events.
- Communicate with team members and external partners to ensure smooth coordination.
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, including interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate a diverse group of volunteers with care and respect.
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve and coordinate multiple tasks.
- Experience with volunteer and/or event coordination.
- Comfortable managing groups and handling logistics on event days.
- Demonstrated interest in documentary film, social justice and community engagement, is a plus.
