Do you love political cinema, especially documentaries? Cinema Politica is looking for enthusiastic and informed film programmers to join our Programming Committee! We are looking for people with experience in film programming for art organizations, cinemas or film festivals, who also have a theoretical background and/or experience in film production. Our programming mandate foregrounds questions of ethics, representation, reciprocity and justice.
Programmers receive a per-film stipend and must watch 5-10 films per month. The Programming Committee meets 2-3 times per year (virtually) to select films to screen across the CP Network.
If you are interested in programming exciting, cutting edge and hard-hitting political film for a two-decades strong non-profit dedicated to the intersection of social justice and cinema, please contact our Programming Coordinator, Ryan Akler-Bishop, at: programming@cinemapolitica.org with a one page CV detailing your interest and relevant background. Include in the subject line: PROGRAMMING APPLICATION.
