About the Film
World-renowned stage director Dominic Champagne is on a quest to save one of the last virgin islands of the planet, the magnificent Anticosti. After having spearheaded the citizen’s movement which put a halt to gas fracking in Quebec, he now wants to stop the oil fracking industry from setting up shop on Anticosti. This island, “the pearl of the St. Lawrence” is a metaphor for our planet — its civilization caught between the dream of a life in harmony with nature and the menace of industrial landscape grabbing our last unspoiled pieces of land.
