Hot off the press! CP Distribution welcomes the spring with its latest distribution acquisition of LITTLE PALESTINE, DIARY OF A SIEGE. Winner of the 2021 Commerzbank Audience Award at FilmFest Hamburg, Abdallah Al-Khatib’s directorial debut takes us into the daily and quotidian realities of the residents of Yarmouk – one of the largest Palestinian refugee camps in the world.

In 2015, Yarmouk was captured by ISIS/Daesh in alliance with al-Nousra, eventually resulting in the shelling of the camp by Syrian forces as they attempted to regain control. As a former resident of Yarmouk, Abdallah Al-Khatib documents this harrowing chapter from his time in the camp from 2011 to 2015. Described as a “love letter from the director to his fellow citizens of Yarmouk” (Variety, 2021), LITTLE PALESTINE, DIARY OF A SIEGE navigates themes of dignity, resilience, and love, and serves as a timely visual reminder of hope amidst war that should not be left unseen.

LITTLE PALESTINE, DIARY OF A SIEGE is now available for institution and educational licenses or community screenings. Click below to email booking@cinemapolitica.org and book the film!
