Cinema Politica Hazelton

Screening truth to power since 2011

Cinema Politica Hazelton was established in December 2011 with an ‘eclectic’ curatorial focus. Originally formed and hosted with the support of the staff and campus of NWCC, the local community college, in its fifth season the group said goodbye to its founding organizers and welcomed a new volunteer team and several new community partners, including our wonderful new venue in Old Hazelton, The Hazel Branch. What hasn’t changed is our mission to screen engaging, inspiring films in our community. There will be nine films screened over the fall and winter months, with admission by donation and opportunity for discussion after each film. We welcome suggestions and feedback from our filmgoers — email us or come out to a screening and share your ideas for future events. New volunteers are also welcome at any time. Join us!

Stay tuned for upcoming screenings!
